Three special features of Immanuel

The cross is constructed out of a stretchy length of red sequin braid outlined in strands of red sequins.  The laurel crown is simply inexpensive sequin leafs that came in a package of random sequins.

The baby didn’t need detail – everyone can fill in the detail in their own minds.  The hay was made with a wide metallic ribbon and different gold cordings.

This was the first banner I did and back then I was avoiding glitz as much as possible so the letters were outlined with a double row of gold cording/braid.  To make it stay in place while the glue dried straight pins were pushed in beside the braid.  Patience is a virtue at times like this!
